
Anna made this morepork cloak out of strips of newspaper strung on bird netting.

A kapahaka dancer/singer and a tui in the Beachlands-Maraetai EcoArts Festival Production of Home Free.

These are the kids from Mr. Paul Martin's class at Maraetai Beach School who sang the chorus on Somebody Cares. In Somebody Cares some creatures sing the verses and Anna and the kids sing the choruses.

The morepork (Anna) sings The Dawn Chorus (Home Free) with kids from Beachlands School and Maraetai Beach School choirs in the festival production.

Two takahe from the Whangamata Area School Production of Island Dreams. The song called Takahe Day was choreographed by senior students as part of their NZCA curriculum work.

The rats in Island Dreams had very cool rat masks.

Senior school art students designed this beautiful snail costume as well as many of the other creature costumes. They also designed lighting and ran many other aspects of their production.

The four pests (rat, cat, possum, and stoat) stole the show. That's how annoying they were.

The lizard head masks were gorgeous as well.

The Tui family from Parawai School's production of Home Free. Home Free was written especially for the 350 kids at Parawai. They wanted to have the entire school in the show so it was constructed to make this possible. The show was the centrepiece for a full term of environmental study around ecological issues.
